Food always yummy and hot. Service is always quick and my order is always right and that is big when your hungry and know wage you want. Missed them when the had to close for a couple of weeks during Covid. But was super happy when they reopened. My Friday night go to.
Gookies is the only chinese restaurant I will eat from in Rosedale/ Laurelton Queens. There boneless spare ribs are good, never over cooked no fat on them. The chicken and broccoli has equal amounts of food (some restaurants has big chucks of broccoli and not alot of chicken.) Good portion size. Never a long wait when I order food to be delivered or when I call ahead to have my food picked up. One the problem I wish they had a parking lot when picking up your order, parking on Merrick Blvd is hard to find a parking spot.
Love this Chinese restaurant. They are always friendly & the food is good. Their "homemade" Iced tea is really good. This is the only one I order from. The only thing I don't like is they don't take cards (like most Chinese restaurants).
